No Meat No Heat

It’s not about raw food, well, not directly.

One million strong and counting. I’m talking about the number of people in Taiwan who have pledged to be vegetarian to curb carbon emissions. It is estimated that this choice would reduce emissions by at least 1.5 million tons of CO2 equivalent in one year.

This campaign is spearheaded by the Union of NoMeatNoHeat, and has received the support of several politicians including the environment minister and a few mayors, who are all taking the vegetarian plunge.
